I received an e-mail the other day updating us about the final competition we entered this year, the British Cheese Awards. This is what they say:
The judging of the 19th British Cheese Awards took place on Friday 31st August on Churchill Village Green. 55 judges from around the world judged 782cheeses made by 181 British & Irish cheesemakers which represents over 70% of the British cheese industry. A shortlist of medal winners [around 270] is attached but what medal they have won and who has won an award will not be announced until the Awards Dinner in Cardiff on Friday 21st September.
