Fodder, in Harrogate, from 11am to 3pm. We will be showcasing our new matured Goat cheese, our new matured Wensleydale, both are natural rinded cheeses that have gently matured over 4 months in their traditional cloth bandages, gaining a nice thin rind. We will also be releasing our new Yorkshire Gouda to the world, and what better place to do this than at Fodder.
I should mention that we will be doing our cheese tasting alongside Jenny, our lovely goat milk man, Jonathan’s equally lovely wife. So if you would like to taste some of Hackfall Goat’s milk (which is nothing like the stuff you get in the supermarkets), please come along and try it. I feel sure that you will be pleasantly surprised.
Fodder sells the very best food and drink from Yorkshire; with a fully stocked butchery counter, a deli counter laden with fresh pies, pasties and amazing cheese. Fruit and veg straight from the farms and lots of lovely jams and chutneys alongside freshly baked local bread and mouth-watering cakes. Fodder also has a lovely cafe which serves everything from a full Yorkshire Breakfast through to cream teas and an extensive lunch menu. Fodder is run and championed by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and acts as a shop window for local farmers and producers giving a crucial local market for their produce. The shop is Britain’s first charitable food hall with all profits re-invested to benefit the rural community.
